This is a running commentary on my preparations, experiences and thoughts as I embark upon what I know will be one of my most life-altering experiences yet. I will likely not have any signal for posting throughout most of my stay, but I will be journaling and catch up online as I am able. I hope that you will hop on board and enjoy this journey with me!

Day 1 (short)

http://compassion4kenya.blogspot.com.

Cannot connect anywhere other than with this Blackberry. :o( Will try to type in what will end up in blog eventually (these are just my personal thoughts and perspectives) and you can pass on.

Hillary is awesome! Wait til you see her tribal dance with the project moms today! Today was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! We thought we were going to work...we were "welcomed" ALL day at the project! The dance ceremony, bible verses, etc. went for 5.5 hours!!!! And that was only part of the day. They literally blessed our socks off! The Compassion people, the project children, project moms and dads, are all SO wonderful! There were plenty of tears shed.

Tomorrow we work, side by side with the project moms and dads. Details to follow.

Dinner and meeting in 20 mins, but will try to get some typing done now!
The entire team sends our love and thanks!
